NERVOUS DOG GROOMING
Here at Short Bark & Sides we are highly experienced when dealing with nervous or noise sensitive dogs. Grooming for most breeds is something that has to be done on average every 6-8 weeks, so we really do want them to enjoy it and not find the process a fearful or stressful one.
We actually really enjoy working with nervous, sensitive or aggressive dogs and trying to get them back to a point where they settle and enjoy the grooming process. This is the greatest achievement for us as we really do feel that we have made a difference.
A lot of this happens through de-sensitisation so it is very important that when booking in your dog you make us aware of behaviours or dislikes that may cause disruption during the groom. Nothing in the dog grooming salon should be scary and we really do want your dogs to understand this so they can be groomed safely with a happy dog leaving at the end.
“We enjoy helping nervous, sensitive or aggresive dogs overcome their fears and anxieties.”
