CLIENT GROOMING AGREEMENT
By signing our contract, owners verify their dog(s) is up to date with their vaccinations. An unvaccinated dog puts it self and owners at risk. If you wish to have your Unvaccinated dog groomed, We cannot be liable for any illnesses contracted by your dog as a result of them not being vaccinated.
Aggressive or Dangerous pets
Owners MUST inform us if your dog(s) bite(s), has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. we reserve the right to refuse/stop services for such dog(s) at any time before or during the grooming process, and, in some cases, charge an aggressive dog fee in addition to regular grooming price.
Medical Problems & Senior Dogs
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. In the best interest of your dog(s) this contract/agreement will give us permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your dog(s) should it be deemed necessary. We will do our best to contact you first, then take your pet(s) to the nearest veterinarian that is available. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pets owner upon signing this contract.
We are unable to groom dogs that are pregnant or in season and three weeks after the last spot of blood.
Dogs with matted coats need extra attention. Mats left in a dogs coat only grow tighter & cause serious discomfort. We will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by continually de-matting your pet for you. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the dogs to be clipped very short all over, dramatically changing their appearance. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the matts. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions. Prevention is the best defence against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments. There is an extra charge when grooming matted dogs.
If you suspects your dog(s) has fleas or ticks, prompt and thorough action on YOUR part will be needed. If fleas or ticks are found during the groom, your dog(s) will automatically receive a flea bath to kill the parasites and a extra charge will be applied on top of the regular groom. If ticks are found they will be removed safely if possible.
There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quacking of nails ect. In most cases this can happen when a dog(s) wiggling or moving around. If you arrive early to collect your dog(s) and they are still on the table please do NOT talk to them or allow him/her to see you. Every effort will be made to insure your dog(s) is groomed safely as possible, but an excited dog can be dangerous to continue work on.
Late pick up
Please be on time to collect your dog(s) as there is only a limited space within the salon, and it is unfair to keep a dog with us longer then necessary. We cannot let them out for the toilet and some times arrange bookings for nervous or aggressive dogs for when no other dog(s) will be with us. If for any reason you are going to be late please notify us so we are aware. There may be a added fee to the final cost if the dog(s) is with us for an extensive amount of time.
No Shows & Cancelations
We ask for 48 HOURS notice if cancelling an appointment. No shows and last minute cancellations (less then 48 hours notice) or continual re-scheduling are subject to a fee which will be added to your next appointment.
We understand there are emergency situations and will work with you, but not on a persistent basis.
Please be respectful of our time where we are a by-appointment business, where 48 hours notice allows us to organise another client to fill this time slot.
